Sandy Nichols introduced the speakers: Arnie Dowdy, 1984 Charter member and past president of the PB/5 Cities Club; president of Rotary Club of Santa Paula; past District 5240 Governor; PRLS and Master PRLS graduate; Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service; Major Donor; Retired City Manager, Grover City.  First international project was his marriage to Maria, native of Portugal.

Chuck Anders, PB/5 Cities Club, licensed civil engineer, past Director of Environmental Protection Agency and Assistant Director, Department of Transportation, State of Arizona; president, Strategic Initiatives; married to Teah and has lived on Central Coast since 1997.

Dowdy said he was proud to have been the District Governor when the Grover Beach Club was organized and assisted by the PB/5 Cities Club.  Dowdy and Anders explained that the Rotary Jeopardy game was designed to measure the knowledge of Club members about their own Club and the Rotary International organization; and to impart knowledge and information.  Categories and amounts to select for each category were displayed on power point slides.

Each of the four tables in the room was assigned as a team with a team captain who would choose the category and amount.  Each team member was given an electronic device to choose a multiple choice answer.  Correct answers were immediately electronically recorded on the screen and points assigned to each team.  It was very entertaining, revealing and an educational experience.  Team 1, consisting of MaryMylan, Sandy Nichols and Richard Roberts, fearlessly led by Steve Curry had over 7,000 points, the highest value for correct answers.
