GATES GIVE ROTARY FOUNDATION $100 MILLION

The Rotary Foundation will match the Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation challenge grant through fund raising over the next three years adding to a total of $200 million to eradicate polio in the four countries in the world where polio is still endemic. The Rotary Foundation has contributed over $633 million to efforts to stamp out polio, a crippling and often fatal disease. The effort would represent a landmark public health achievement and most global health experts believe the world stands at the brink of seeing that goal realized.
