First Golf Marathon Success!
The 100-Hole Golf
All of the golfers, the volunteers, and pledge partners were asked to stand. We lost 4 golfers on Monday, stressing President Miss Sandy a bit, but she said the club would make $12-$14,000 for our first annual event! How to tweak things? Faster carts, cold beer, and more snacks with a better lunch. "We want to play ball with the big people," said Board member Miss Anita Shower.
It was a great day: "Hit the ball; chase the ball!" Miss Sandra was proud to say: "We've been searching for a fundraiser so this could be ours and it could be incredibly successful." Without any idea how things were going to fall into place, the result of this and future marathons could be huge for our Club. Miss Sandy thanked Steve Schumann for bringing the concept this to our attention and being a great inspiration.
