Clifford Clark becomes an Honary Member
President Cavanaugh inducted Clifford Clark as an Honorary Member of the Club. An honorary membership is awarded to persons who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals. He was recognized for all of the contributions he has made to the area and for his philanthropic generosity. Richard Roberts was his sponsor.
Mr. Clark said he was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, a service veteran, married, received his law degree and practiced law with his father in the San Fernando Valley for seven years before deciding that he needed a break from the stress of the job. They moved to this area as they had vacationed here in the past; and, Cliff said, "Why here? If it's good enough to vacation here, it's good enough to live here." It was a very small community in those days. He moved to
John Shoals said that he met Mr. Clark eight years ago and that he epitomizes the motto, "Service Above Self" and thanked him. We all welcome Cliff Clark as a new member.
