A brief introduction to Beverly Goble

 

First, I much prefer being called Bev unless its in print.  I think that goes back to my childhood as my parents only called me Beverly when they were upset with me.  I was the youngest of 2 girls for 9 years and then my mom had twins, 1 girl, 1 boy and we the older girls argued over who got to hold the boy.  Now were all best of friends.  I grew up in Minnesota, I used to say where people preserved well due to the cold, now I never visit in the winter. My younger sister, Barb is the last hold-out there.  I've lived in California for over 30 years, most of it being here on the central coast.

 

I was married for 28 years until my husband's death in 2011.  I have 3 great adult kids, Kari, Tim & Jon.  Kari is married to her, husband Rob whose in the Navy and they have 2 kids, Meagan 12 and Christian 7.   Jon is married to Crystal and are expecting their 1st little girl, Lola soon.  Tim is single.  All my kids are local so I get plenty of time to be Grammie.

 

Before kids I drove school bus, city transit, and tractor trailer, I like big vehicles and  was a church secretary.  Once my kids were born I stayed home with them.  Then in 1999 I went back to driving school bus here for Lucia Mar.  I also drove for Silverado and SCAT for a while.  I also had a home-based business in the telcom industry.  After my husband's death, I changed to SendOutCards, after receiving 100's of cards I understood the power of a greeting card.  I love that I can help people reach out to others through Appreciation Marketing, or show that mom or dad how they can stay home with their kids by working from home.  SendOutCards is the number 1 sender of 1st class mail in the world and during the Christmas season are posed to send over 800,000 greeting cards a day.  I can honestly say I get paid for doing nice things for other people and it can't get any better than that.
