President Nichols conducted our annual Club Assembly and asked Service and Committee chairs to give their reports and outline their goals for this fiscal year.

 

   - Lisa Evans, International Service wants to continue the Club's relationship to Honduras; a two tier grant is possible for a program of foot care and diet/insulin management, a multi-club project.  Partner with Los Osos Club for a $55,000 grant to provide clean water and health training in Rwanda; and, Solar panels and computers to schools.  A forthcoming assessment will further define goals; also a tri-club project to enhance homeless shelter in Hermosillo, Mexico.

   - Terry Merlo, Community Service, helping the Newcomers Gardening group, will assist City of GB with their Halloween Carnival, volunteer as Marshals for the GB Holiday Parade; Coats For Kids and annual Christmas Party, Boys/Girls Club; and, elementary school track meet.

   - Brad Evans, Vocational Service, annual hosted lunch for GB Police & Fire Authority personnel, BBQ at the Rotary Pavilion.

   - Sandra Sansoni, Club Service, asks that she be advised of suggested program speakers, non political or religious; will also organize Club Christmas Party, District Gov visits, AmpSurf dinner and our exchange student BBQ.

   - Mary Mylan, Secretary, Attendance, Club has a good record and it should be enhanced, there are many options to make up meetings: visit local Clubs, attend Board/Committee meetings, Interact, Rotoract meetings, District events and online eClub.  If you pay for a meal at another meeting let Regina, Treasurer, know to credit your account.

   - Regina Sheldon, Treasurer, members are encouraged to pay down any dues debts ASAP, let her know if there is a problem to work out a solution; Club's goal is to have 100% Paul Harris participation, if that is reached and sustained for a year, Club becomes a Paul Harris Club forever, she suggests a time payment plan for required $1,000.

   - Anita Shower, Membership, will coordinate/manage mentor duties; coordinate/manage membership packages and procedure; be proud of Rotary/Club and invite others to share the experience; always proudly wear your Rotary pin.

    - Steve Schumann/Richard Roberts, Web Site Administration/Publicity/Media & Bulletin: go to Club Runner website and update your profile, advise of any needed publicity events or press releases to be distributed.  Send pictures to Steve or Richard to accompany press releases and/or print in the bulletin.
