Ancient Bowling Trophy Mysteriously Returns!

Bill Nicolls
recited a story about a US Marine Corps bowling champion trophy he won in 1941. He was ten years old.
Early on in his life, he said, his house was burglarized and burned to the ground while he and Barbara were attending a Marine Corps birthday ball; everything destroyed, including, he thought, his beloved trophy. Much to his amazement and joy, it turned up at our Club Christmas party as a white elephant gift. He gratefully latched on to it and profusely thanked the Club for this once-in-a-life time experience. It was a solemn and tearful story. He truly believes in Santa Clause; he thanked Brad & Lisa for having the party and he was so overcome with joy, he paid an unheard of H$$$ amount: $5 for the party and $5 for the trophy. A great story; but, someone needs to introduce Bill to the Rotary "4-Way Test"!
