Last Wednesday the Rotary Club of China Lake was treated to an excellent District Governor’s speech at our luncheon, and a delightful and informal reception in the evening.

At the luncheon, Governor Sherry Sim talked about our club and its accomplishments in great detail, and with supporting photographs! Always positive and encouraging, her talk was indeed inspirational. It was announced at the luncheon, that in lieu of a gift basket, China Lake would be making a $250 donation to the Rotary International Foundation in Governor Sim’s name. That donation has since been made to the PolioPlus Campaign.
Later that day at the Saint-Amand house, twenty-five Rotarians and spouses from the Rotary Clubs of China Lake and Indian Wells Valley enjoyed dinner, drinks, and conversation with the Governor. Thank you to all who brought a bite or sip to share! It was a wonderful repast and a fun time! |
