It has been an event-full week since our last luncheon. On Wednesday the 13th, at our annual dinner led by Don Beene and Cyndy Noel, the Rotary Club of China Lake awarded $72,000 in club and donor-funded scholarships.
Each scholarship awardee’s accomplishments were read as they approached the podium to receive their check and certificate. Representatives of the donor-funded scholarships spoke about what those scholarships meant to them and personally congratulated their awardees. All in all it was an excellent evening and a wonderful moment to remember all the good the Rotary Club of China Lake is doing in the lives of these young men and women.
