It is no coincidence that Rotary’s theme for September coincides with the traditional time for Back-to-School. Rotary’s focus for this month is on “strengthening communities’ ability to support education and literacy for all ages, including reducing gender disparity in education and increasing adult literacy.”The Rotary Club of China Lake has participated in building a Little Library, provided back to school supplies and clothing, provided money and labor to support the PACE Universal Girl’s School in India, and given out hundreds of thousands in scholarships to graduating High School Seniors. Add to that our sponsorship of two Interact Clubs and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp and it is plain to see that this month is our month. Well done Rotarians.
