On May 12th, the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of China Lake approved the use of "on-line" make-ups for members of the club who attend a meeting at a Rotary E-Club. The member must participate on-line for a minimum of 30 minutes and notify the club secretary of their attendance. Members will be encouraged to give the membership a brief overview of what they learned or participated in while on-line. Member are limited to one (1) on-line make-up per quarter. The make-up is valid two weeks prior and two weeks after the missed meeting. On-line make-ups will not be given a financial credit.
The purpose of this new policy is to give members a new opportunity to make-up and learn more about Rotary.
The eClub concept was authorized by Rotary International to evaluate an alternative Rotary membership paradigm. The evaluation of eClubs began on July 1st in 2004 and continues until the Council on Legislation scheduled June 20 in 2010. On-line make-ups can be completed at the following Rotary E-Clubs.
