Our Projects
Our club has completed numerous projects in San Luis Obispo and around the world, and we've donated over $1 million to the Rotary International Foundation.

Here are some of the projects we're most proud of:

  • We have been serving up great traditional meals during the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival at the Bill Smith Rotary Fish Fry since 1967, with proceeds going to our local scholarship fund and other local charities.
  • Our club has hosted the annual Christmas & Holiday Singalong at the Clark Center since 2007. This delightful event brings the community together with local talent, holiday treats and a visit from Santa himself!
  • The Arroyo Grande Rotary Relays is the only track and field competition for local students in the 7th and 8th grades. The event also creates an interest for many of these students to participate further in track and field activities as they progress into high school. Because of this interest, local high school teams have become outstanding, with a number of athletes competing in foreign meets. The Arroyo Grande Rotary Relays are a full-scale meet, with a professional starter supervising the races. Rotarians time the races and judge other events, provide food and refreshments, t-shirts for each contestant, and ribbons and trophies for the winners.
  • Once a month the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club provides lunch at the People's Kitchen in Grover Beach for the homeless and those in need.
  • We are proud to be a part of the Arroyo Grande Village Concert Series, both as a sponsor and for serving up local beer and wine at these weekly Summer events at Rotary Park.
  • We proudly support students at our two local high schools, Arroyo Grande High School and Lopez High School, with our scholarship program.
