For years Salem Creekside Rotarians have tested their skills on the putting green at Creekside Golf Course. This year's event on August 4th, was organized by Rotarians Doug Carney and Tom Edmiston. Doug noted that this was the 23rd year for the annual event held in honor of David Halter. Every year the stakes are high as members are put to the test. The weather was perfect, plenty of sunshine with a gentle cool breeze, ideal conditions for the 18-hole event. Winners have their names engraved on the coveted Putters Trophy. Other awards also were dispersed to award winning members. Last year's winner, Rich Davis presented the traveling trophy to Doug for safe keeping until next summer. We congratulate Doug and note that this is not the first time Doug won the trophy, he seems to have the perfect putter. Congratulations Doug!
