Friday Notes
At today's meeting, we had two visiting Rotarians- Chuck Morrison--who was the featured speaker--is a member of the Rotary Club of Everett-Port Gardner and Dave Surface who is a member of the Rotary Club of Everett. It was great to have them visit. Marie Abbott is the Associate Manager of the Lake Stevens Senior Center. She was the guest of Loren Hole. Marie briefly talked about her plan to get more seniors involved in the community.
Gary O'Reilly asked for prayers for his grandson's pending heart surgery. Alexander will undergo the procedure in eleven day.
Jim Steinruck announced that he and Dawn are grandparents once again. Their grandson Beau Russell Nygard was born August 4th, 9#1oz and 21 inches tall. Parents and son are all doing well. Congratulations to the Steinrucks.
Loren and Lorna Hole presented the Club with their annual endowment contribution. They have been doing this around their wedding anniversary as a way to thank Rotary. This year the Hole's celebrate 64 years of marriage. Thank you to Loren and Lorna for your generous contributions.
James Monroe announced that our Cub Scout Pack is ramping up for the fall. They will have their first Pack Meeting on September 23rd. He asked that Rotarians attend as we will be recognizing the volunteers who have been serving the Pack. That meeting starts at 5:45 pm at the South Lake Stevens Grange.
