During the regular Friday meeting on September 4th, President Lance Morehouse asked the Club Committees Chairs to report on their committee activities, plans for the coming year and a committee sign up sheets were distributed with members being asked to choose at least one committee to be a active member. and participant.
Ilene Levering, Rickelle Pegrum and Bob Howe reported that the Corks and Kegs major fundraiser on September 12th is sold out. Catering is set for 120 attendees which is very close to capacity.
Membership - Alex Schaller - showed the following Club Bingo game for new member participation by getting to know Club members through this Bingo Game. The Bingo game was copied from another Club in Texas and discovered by another member who sent it to Alex for consideration.
Membership - Alex Schaller spoke about working with Paul Adams on new member prospects and introduced the Rotary Club Bingo for new Members to quickly get acquainted with the club and its members. The Bingo game is a work in progress and Alex is looking for ideas to enhance the Bingo New Member program.
Club Services - Ilene Levering - continue to work on locations for regularly scheduled Club Firesides where members can become more acquainted with one another. It's a work in progress and send cards to members who need a uplift.
Community Services - Erinn Matesi talked about her approach to the Lake Stevens Senior Center to see if anyone needed some minor projects on the lawn or gardening to sign up and mentioned the current goals of the Polenator Garden on Soper Hill.
High School Scholarships-Don Iverson-talked about the need for some changes to the high school scholarship program, the interview process and getting the word out to our Lake Stevens High School seniors to sign up and apply for our Rotary Club Scholarships.
Public Image - Rand Southam - upgrading the Club banners, and other promotional materials as well as a more informed and better Club communications software system that won't entirely replace ClubRunner but be more of a tool for Club member communications. Rand was on assignment to New Mexico and unavailable.
International - Chris Vallo - on assignment in New Mexico but continue working with other Clubs on IPA project and Kenya water project, each supported by our Club.
