This Week's Meeting
The featured speaker at this week's meeting is Samuel Toft. He is with the Everett YMCA and will talk about the Youth and Teen Programs that the Y has to offer. Who was a member of the Y as a kid? I learned to swim at my local YMCA. Those were great times.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Secretary, Gary O'Rielly know.

State of the Chamber
Matt Tabor, CEO of the Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce was our guest speaker at Friday, January 28th meeting. Matt updated the Club starting with an overview of the State of the Chamber beginning with their major sponsors and the resources that have been available to the Chamber during the pandemic. There are 96 active members in the Chamber.

There were 40 events in 2021 including the Mega Mixer, business candidate forum and community candidate forum as well as many more including the Lights of Lake Stevens as shown above. Matt showed the Club members a copy of the new Chamber logo and announced the unveiling of the new Chamber website that is much more interactive. The dues structure is changing. The past structure was based on full-time employees.  A review of the membership levels followed and will be implemented immediately. Dues invoices were held up in January pending the Board's action on the new dues level proposal.

Matt discussed the new website that is being unveiled this week. Chamber Data System was the organization that built the website with some fabulous features. Matt walked through a few of the features of the new website. One of the features was the Business Directory. So much more and was the revamping of the membership dues as mentioned previously. Another event the Chamber is looking at is Fourth of July Celebration along with the Lake Stevens Arts and Parks Foundation. A lot more to come from the Chamber going forward.

If you want to view the presentation, you can go Club's YouTube channel, Lake Stevens Rotary.
