Silent Auction is Live

Hello Lake Stevens Rotary Community Supporters!

We're so excited to announce that our Corks, Kegs & Coins Beer, and Wine Tasting Event will be in-person this year on Saturday, October 1st, at the Mill Pavilion on North Cove Park. Like years past, we will offer an online Silent Auction during the week prior to our in-person event that will end during the in-person event. All bidding for the Silent Auction items will be online so those at home can bid with those attending the in-person event. Bidding on our Live Auction items will only be available to those attending the in-person event due to Washington's Liquor Control Board rules.

You have two ways to join in the fun and support our community:

Register for the online Silent Auction only here: https://lakestevensrotary2022.ggo.bid

Register for the online Silent Auction above and buy your tickets to the in-person Corks, Kegs & Coins Wine and Beer Tasting with Live Auction here:

Canine Foundation - Joshua Holmes
Snohomish County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Holmes was our guest speaker on Friday, September 16th. Deputy Holmes brought his partner, Doc, with him as part of the program. Josh was here to speak about the Snohomish County K9 Foundation. The Foundation raises funds for local law enforcement agencies to help supply equipment and help fund the purchase a K9 officer.  The cost of a K9 dog is about $10,000 excluding travel for the officer, and classes with the K9.  The cost to train a K9 requires 400 hours of training for the basic handler's school and the permit to meet the state canine handler certificate. K9 dogs are acquired from Indiana which is the preferred provider where the handlers choose from among 10-15 dogs, then trains with the K9 of their choice. There are two master trainers at the Sheriff's Department.

FUNDRAISERS: Proceeds of every bag of Fur Missile coffee from Vinaccio Coffee in Monroe go to support the Snohomish County K9 Foundation.  The Tickets on Sale Now photo above "Support the Paws that Enforce the Laws" fundraiser on Saturday, November 5th at 6 pm at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish.
Membership Packets
New membership packets were presented to Steve Alexander by the Chair of the Membership Committee Kyle Strand and to Chris Smith by President Chris Vallo. The Membership Packets are important tools to learn more about Rotary International and our Club.
