Stories
We will conclude our series on Athletics and Education at this week's meeting with a presentation by Mike Colbrese, Executive Director of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. The WIAA's mission is to Strengthen all students for life through participation in excellent, fair, safe, and accessible activities. It was formed in 1905 to create equitable playing conditions between high school sports teams in Washington. Much has happened in 110 years. Will we find the answers to the questions about the importance of education in athletics? Or, is it athletics in education?
