AquaFest 2017: Our program last week was a thorough discussion of AquaFest/Duck Dash 2016 followed by a discussion and suggestions for 2017. Tracy sent out a AquaFest Wish List 2017, so please review the list and enter any of your thoughts. It is apparent that we have to change our Duck Dash race. 1) The last two years, Catherine Creek water flow has been too low. A number of suggestions were made and a number of alternatives are being discussed. 2) The booth needs more signage announcing the Duck Dash ticket sales and the Diaper Dash. 3) Our participation in the parade. Another part of the discussion involved more members being in charge of the different areas of AquaFest/Diaper Dash/Duck Dash and the race; booth sign ups which Tracy has already volunteered to do; AquaFest signage; Duck Dash tickets sales, sponsors and signage; parade entry and signage and set up & tear down; Diaper Dash marketing and signage just to name a few of the examples discussed at our meeting.
Board Meeting: The Board meeting included an outline of the 2016-17 budget; input from Sam regarding AquaFest and changes that are needed to help us achieve a better and more profitable outcome while putting more people in charge of the various activities. Gary announced that several members need to pay their semi-annual dues.
