Visiting Rotarian

At our meeting on last Friday, Don Williams from the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove, Oregon was a guest visitor. Don is originally from Everett and was visiting family in the area. During the meeting Don commented that Cottage Grove is the "Covered Bridge" capital of Oregon. Six Covered Bridges in Lane County are located in and around Cottage Grove. At the end of the meeting, Club Banners were exchanged between the two clubs.

Larry and Linda Saint provided the breakfast for the club members. Linda was raised in Cottage Grove. During a conversation between Linda and our guest, they discovered many mutual friends. We always comment, that "its a small world" and that fact was proven on Friday.

Our regularly scheduled meeting speaker was unable to come to our meeting this week, so we had time to learn about Cottage Grove from a visiting Rotarian. The program for Friday will be rescheduled.
