Our guest speakers on Friday, March 4th were Sydney Caplinger as the Volunteer Coordinator and Ronda Traut from Village Community Services. Their mission is committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.  We have been providing quality residential support and vocational services to adults with disabilities. Their service area encompasses Snohomish, Island and Skagit Counties.

Their support services and advocacy help individuals with disabilities to achieve integration and full participation in their communities. They offer individualize supports that enable our program participants to achieve their right ot belong, to be valued, to participate, to make informed choices and to make meaningful contributions.
Volunteer opportunities include Village Music and Arts; Village Experience Learning Center, Special events, fundraising, looking for new Board members and yard work and maintenance. Recently completed their strategic plan. Voice in the Village band is composed of members who want to participate. Some sing, some play instruments, usually 5-10 people participating each week. Work and perform anywhere. Other events include the 2nd Annual Arbor Day fundraiser with Peer-to-Peer competition. Several ways to get involved.
