Mayor Brett Gailey spoke to the Club on Friday, October 20th updating members on the latest city activities. The Mayor announced that the City Council made the decision to have a permanent City Hall. The City would buy both buildings by the current Lake Stevens Police Department. Cost of the City Hall project would have been $18 million dollars if they located on Chapel Hill. The new location is expected to cost around $10 million dollars and be funded through a bond issue which would include finishing the Lake Stevens Museum.

The city will be hiring a Park Ranger in the near future. The City budget is near completion and new building projects in Lake Stevens will likely be five stories in height. There are two projects in the process that would be five stories.  One across from the Chicken Shack and the other where Creator Zone is located across from Wendy's and Walgreen's.
