Our Scouts BSA Troop 88 has really great leaders. Kristin Wells, Troop Committe Chair and Brie Blaschka-Mueller, Scoutmaster, were our special guest speakers last Friday. Their Troop numbers are climbing with 26 members and their activities are busy on projects, summer camps, and regular meetings. They meet at the School District Admin building where we hold our meetings every other Wednesday evening. Activities in the past several months included, a flag retirement, paint night, rock climbing, a beach clean-up, activities at Fire Mountain Scout Camp were the Troop split into two groups competing against each other, Aviation Day at Sea-Tac Airport with Alaska Airlines, a mulch fundraiser and a textile fundraiser.

Great presentation and wonderful to hear all of the activities that our Troop is involved in as they learn more and more about leadership and community. Coming up soon at the Scout Camp is a Girls Hangout Day. If you know of any young ladies ages 11 through 17 have them contact us to find out how participating in the Scouting movement can be a positive change for them!
