The Lake Stevens Rotary Club has awarded $25,000 of College Scholarships to ten very deserving Lake Stevens High School graduates. We have had a great engagement with Rotary Club members reading applications, doing in-person interviews and determining award recipients this year.
We would like to recognize Kim LaFortune, Career Guidance Specialist at LSHS and Kayla Miller at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center for their assistance in getting great candidates to apply. This funding is made possible by fundraising we do in our local communities. Accepting the Dean Franz Scholarship Award from Debe Franz was Evan Wellman.
Accepting the Sam Low Scholarship but was unavailable was Seth Haack. Marina Pearson was awarded the Gregory Masten Memorial Rotary Scholarship. The Loren and Lorna Hole Rotary Scholarship was awarded to Ava McGee and Dr. Jae Hong provided funding for a Rotary Scholarship award again this year.
