Now Open-
Rotary Skate Park

More than 15 years ago, the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens raised money and promoted the building of a SKATEBOARD PARK in Lake Stevens. A few years ago, three of us from the Club met with then County Councilman Dave Somers and Tom Teigen, Director of Snohomish Parks and Recreation about building a skate park in Lake Stevens.  The meeting ended up over time creating a joint memo of understanding to develop the park at Cavelero Community Park which the County had a acquired a few years prior.  The Rotary Skate Park is now open for fun and enjoyment. The skaterboarder above in the photo lives in the Northgate area and told me that he would be coming up here every week to skate.  He is involved with the skateboard industry and is an event coordinator.

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is proud to support our community in this way. Get on your boards!
