This month's Club assembly held Friday, May 10th was a Rotary Orientation Session presented by Jim Steinruck and Gary O'Rielly. Using the ABC's of Rotary, members both new and old listened to an overview of the such key topics as the Definition of Rotary; the Object of Rotary; emphasis and importance of the Four Way Test from its beginning and it continues to be a hallmark of Rotary; to the Avenue of Services. All areas of Rotary life were explained, including the inclusion of women in 1989.

The Classification Principle was another key element of the discussion as was Unusual Make-Up Meetings. No area was left out of the discussion. The Rotary Foundation and how each member can assist through our Club Foundation was outlined. The session concluded with an overview of the history, accomplishments and on-going projects, fundraisers and membership that have made this such a strong club coupled with some of the finest programs presented by any Rotary Club in District 5050 or in the State of Washington.
