On a cool crisp Tuesday evening, members of the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens (Rotarians in Action Committee) worked on sprucing up a portion of Lundeen Park. Their efforts will continue since they made a huge dent in cleaning up the landscape, but they have a long way to go.
The six Club members and the photographers were mowing, pulling, digging up roots and removing sticky blackberry bushes along with weeds, and growing grass that needed to be cut down and trimmed up a lot.
Hauling cut blackberry bushes was a challenge leaving a few marks on hands and legs.
Our Club adopted Lundeen Park several years ago and has continued to clean and spruce up the Park from time to time when it becomes necessary. We continue the Adopt a Park with the Skate Park, downtown area, Market Street area and our Interact Club has Adopted 113 Avenue NE from the High School to State Highway 92.
