A Friendly Visitor
Robert Morgan a visiting Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Goulburn Mulwaree Australia near Melbourne talked about his club. Robert was in town with a group of high school band students. His Club has 33-35 members. There was a long time before they admitted women and now have two. Their club was formed in 1976. Their main source of revenue outside of membership is a huge Swap Meet. Their Swap Meet is the BEST Swap Meet in New South Wales and the #3 Swap Meet in Australia. Another fundraiser is their annual book fair. They raise over $10,000-12,000. They have been doing it for nearly 12 years. They have distributed over $45,000 in club funds to local charities.
Club Assembly
The Wine Tasting Fundraiser will be held on April 20th, the birthday of Paul Harris. There will be no Texas Hold'em Tournament this year. International Services will be holding a meeting shortly after their budget number is confirmed. Still some things that they can do for Monterrico. On March 23rd, there is a Rotary Foundation Seminar in Mt. Vernon and their are some mandatory attendance requirements for each club. More later.
