Amber Nelson, Lingo Consulting speaking to our club on Friday, July 20th.
Amber is the founder and president of Lingo Consulting, a communications consulting, coaching and training company dedicated to helping individuals and organizations learn and leverage their lingo.
 
Amber is a crisis communication expert. Acknowledging the importance of the "WHY" of what we are doing is critical in communicating to your audiences. Another factor is "what is our purpose for the work we are doing"?  Understanding how your language is understood by those  you are talking to and the importance of knowing your audience, looking at where are audience is, where they work and just as importantly, where they play.
 
Amber is moving from California to Lake Stevens. For more than 20 years, she has consulted on communications issues with clients including Transamerica, Kaiser Permanent, General Mills, the American Heart Association, United Way, the American Marketing Association and Boston University to name a few.
 
In 2015, Amber produced and hosted the first TEDxPasadenaWomen experience to provide a launch pad for the cross pollination of ideas between women from all walks of life. She holds a Journalism degree from Boston University. She is moving from Southern California to our community.
