Our guest speaker on Friday, June 2nd was Angela Riebli, Executive Director, Lake Stevens Pride, and retired counselor at Lake Stevens High School. After receiving support in March for the Lake Stevens Pride Festival, the organization filed for non-profit status. As a counselor, Angela saw many issues involving students questioning their gender or sexuality.
The organizations' goal is to dispel myths and bring awareness to the issue; advocate-amplify voices through resources and support; community-international presence LGBTQ+ events; visibility through community partnerships and address mental health areas and safe spaces.
