The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is proud to announce that we are awarding $25,000 in scholarships to twelve deserving students in 2023! We love giving back to our community and supporting the future of our young students who will accomplish so much.

The awarding of scholarships was emceed by Lance Morehouse, Chair of the Scholarship Committee and WA State Representative & Snohomish County Council and Club Member Sam Low. Because of their generosity to our scholarship program, funds were given to the club in the name of Loren and Lorna Hole and by Debe Franz in honor of her husband, Dean Franz, who successfully chaired the Scholarship Committee for many years. Also participating in the funding was Lance and Carrie Morehouse and Sam and Mariah Low.

Background
Each Year the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens awards College and Vocational Scholarships to very deserving students from Lake Stevens High School. Our process starts in February of each year when we send the application packet to the high school for students to consider and post on our website. Applications are usually due the first week in April and are then scored by volunteer judges from our Club. The top candidates are then invited to an interview and scholarship recipients chosen and honored during a Rotary Scholarship Breakfast the end of May.

Next Year!
If you know someone who will be graduating from Lake Stevens High School in 2024, please let them know about our scholarships and encourage them to apply! See you next year.
