
Homage Aging and Disability Services. Our guest speaker, on Friday, April 4th was Amina Saracevie discussing the many services provided by Homage such as providing services for older adults in Snohomish County which started in 1974. Homage is one of the largest providers for older adults and people with disabilities. Homage provides critical services that help maintain health, independence and quality of life.
Each year, thousands of individuals benefit from Homage's core programs in food and nutrition, social services, mental health programs, minor home repairs, and transportation assistance.
Amina spoke about Senior Farmer's Market for seniors who qualify. Homage provides services in 9 different languages for multicultural programs. There are various group meetings each week for the different ethnic groups. Funding for Homage comes through donations and federal grants. Plus, Volunteer Services are meeting the needs of the communities. Connecting seniors with seniors, foster grandparents program and senior peer counseling program and there is a need for volunteer drivers are just a few of the services provided by Homage.
