Our guest speaker on Friday, January 10th, was Kathy Solberg, Emerging Leaders and CEO of Community Builder. Kathy commented that Emerging Leaders is celebrating its 10th year. At the time, Kathy was with Snohomish Leadership 40 under 40 for professional accomplishments. Members are encouraged to seek a "SEAT AT THE TABLE" as a way to have their voices heard.
The Seat at the Table campaign is underway. It started in 2016. Over 600 yearly nominees. Eventually, four are chosen and one is declared the winner. For these individuals, it is a source of pride in how they have been held up through the organization.
Last year, they developed an Emerging Business category. Kathy asked our Club to value their services and help in developing a list of businesses. The date for the event is April 8th at the Apex Everett.
