Our special program was a preview of the short film by Thiao Dadalt and Dru Miller (Lake Stevens) about a autistic teenager Duke Peters. Dru was unable to join us for the viewing and asked Lance Morehouse to introduce the program. Duke lives a life of silence. He has no voice to speak from and can only communicate through groans, shouts, and violent outbursts. As his family begins to fall apart under the pressure of caring for him, Duke must find his voice to keep them together.  In the end, they discover that Duke can communicate through his iPad with beautifully written sentences as he finds his path forward with his family intact. A beautifully written short film that will enlighten the audience.
