Our special guest speaker was District Governor Dave Duskin who was introduced by Assistant District Governor Kathleen Olson. DG Duskin focused on the Rotary Theme, the Magic of Rotary and discussed the unique Rotary District 5050 with 30 Canadian Clubs and 31 Clubs in the United States. The DG talked about his 50 years in Rotary. REACH is all about who brought you in to Rotary! Hands Across the Border was magnificent showcasing the Peach Arch. A miniature hand-made Peace Arch symbolized the enormous Peace Arch and was passed from one side of the Peace Arch (US) to the Canadian side.

Membership in our club has grown. Time to renew at Club in Snohomish, possibly Granite Falls and the Smokey Pointe area. In his discussion, the DG talked about the IMPACT of Rotary, REACH, ENGAGE and ADAPT.
During his presentation, DG Dave Duskin recognized Ilene Levering and Gary O'Rielly with the People of Action awards along which included a Rotary license plate.

Scones were provided by Rickelle Pegrum from her Marysville Creamery. What a nice treat. Following the meeting, the District Governor met with the Rotary Board members that were present for a brief overview of our Club and continuing the conversation about potential new Clubs in Snohomish, Granite Falls and Smokey Point.
