Club Assembly

Last week's meeting focused on the Club Assembly and finding ways to increase our revenue stream during this difficult period. Texas Hold'em scheduled for late March could be differed until October unless the Purple and Gold community is eager to participate in an earlier tournament schedule. Scott and Dave are working with Purple and Gold on the date of the tournament.
AquaFest Committee activities and early fundraising are ramping up with the first committee meeting scheduled for March 7th at Scott Smith's residence. Call Scott if you are interested in being on the committee.Scott's goal is to sell 4,000 tickets this year. We need all hands on deck to make this happen as well as having enough members working during the AquaFest week-end. Other possible fundraisers are a wine/cheese tasting fundraiser with Sojen, a Lake Stevens couple interested in working with our Rotary Club. If club members have any ideas, now is a good time to share them with us. The challenge is on. We can do this as a club. So, let's make it all happen.
Doug Newman, Assistant District Governor shared his thoughts on fundraisers by area clubs. One example was last year's Marysville Sunrise Club and the Louisiana Shrimp Boil that was put together in three weeks and earned the club around $8,500. Wow, we can do this as well.
