The program this past week included new member Brian Rewis, Farmers Insurance Agency owner, giving his Classification Talk. Brian is a native Texan and dislikes talking about himself. He moved to the area in 2016 looking for cooler weather. Brian met his wife, Cassie, in a pool hall 24 years ago and hit it off immediately. They have two children. The oldest son is 20 and is just finishing Boot Camp. The second son is 18 years old. Brian has always enjoyed volunteering especially with his church and sports coaching his sons' in baseball and soccer.  Brian and Cassie enjoy getting to know their friends.

Prior to getting into the insurance field, Brian was shucking oysters. When he met Cassie, her father was an adjustor who always talked about his field of work. So, Brian entered the field as an adjustor. It really started when his father-in-law would share so many stories about his various adjusting activities. Started in the agency as an agency producer. Since moving to the area, Brian became an Agency-Owner in August 2020.

When they decided to leave the hot humid climate of Texas, they loaded all three vehicles and headed for Snohomish County. He thought they would start out in Monroe but a friend had a house for sale with owner financing available and they bought the house and found themselves in Lake Stevens. He had previously visited Lake Stevens but only knew where the Target and Safeway stores were. Another draw to Lake Stevens was the Life Point Church. His youngest son is close friends of Seth Low. He joined Rotary because of our involvement with the skate park and all of our community activities.
