Nationally there are over 30,000 radio signals. The 40 biggest radio companies own the biggest share of the signals. In the 90's as buying power increased in the United States, there was a major move towards consolidation. Clear Channel has 7% of the radio stations with huge markets. Radio has created a targeted nitch as an immediate news source....and KRKO and KKXA use EverettPost.com.
KRKO/KKXA has more than one studio and more than one transmitter site. Disaster readiness, campaigning for the local Big Brothers/BIG Sisters helps grow local businesses with their signal reach plus both radio stations are affordable.
