Our featured speaker this week was Tracy Rubstello, Development Director of the Bridge Receiving Center. Tracy has visited us numerous times updating our Club members on the latest information regarding Bridge Receiving Center. Her last visit was in June 2021. Bridge Receiving is a "Healing start for children entering foster care." In Washington State, children aged 4-17 are the most vulnerable children and they face incredible obstacles.
Bridge Receiving Center is a welcoming place for children entering foster care. They provide a safe, therapeutic, trauma-responsive program. Children usually stay for 30 days or up to 60 days if needed. Their current facility has capacity for six children at a time.
Bridge Receiving Center provides round the clock staffing, 24 hours a day/365 day a year. They provide necessities such as food, clothing, bedding, and linens. Supplementary supplies and materials from toys and books to special needs interventions.
Recurring trauma care training so the staff is current on best practices for working with children who have experienced trauma. Activities and excursions that provide and facilitate health and wellness is part of their on-going program. Counseling and Case Management is provided for each child.

Bridge Two-a teen only center is under consideration. They are in the process of beginning a visibility search which they would like to have near their current location.
