Our Cub Scout Pack is celebrating the birthday of Scouting as we know it in America with the annual Blue & Gold Banquet this weekend at Camp Edward. There are over 60 boys and girls enjoying the Cub Scout program. They learn character development, receive citizenship training and work on their physical fitness through a wide array of activities. Several older Scouts will also be joining Scout Troops in our area through a ceremony known as a "Crossover." The ceremony includes having the Scout actually walk across a bridge symbolizing going from one Scouting program to another--in this case Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA. Congratulations to the Scout and their families. Thank you to all of the leaders that provide the program to the youth of our community.
