Perfect Close for 2009

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION,

Like you know one of the most important dates for a kid is Christmas and when you have 1850 (1600 in villages and 250 in the city)this really is important and even when the most people was concern about the finances crisis, the fidelity of God was with us, usually we receive from the persons who sponsor a kid some Christmas present, but this year we receive just  for one person, and we thought, what we are going to do, but God let us to bring sandals to all of our kids in the villages, we really was concern about how many of them don't use nothing for walk and many diseases was all the time with them, but we can help on this and give  small toy too and a lot of food for them. By car, Bus, boat, horse or tractor, God let us enjoy this kids.
 

COMPUTER FOR ALL

God give us the opportunity to take at least 4 computers to all our villages, in that way our kids can learn and develop this area, like you know even the ones didn't have electricity God let us did true solar panels the last month, in that way all of them have a computer lab.

PASTOR'S CHRISTMAS

Like all of you  know the persons who help us to make all of this happen are the pastor in each village, they are the ones to give follow to each small project or activity and take care of our kids when we are not there and we had the blessing from God to give to them a special Christmas present, they really deserve this,

A LITLE OF EVERYTHING

Like I told you before, I will do a resume for make this ease:

1. God let me went to Seattle and with the help of the district 5050 from Rotary Clubs we almost have the sponsor for our health Center in Monte Rico and receive training in composting toilets, Solar energy and auto sustainable life.

2. Christmas Parties at church, we had a great time sharing together and understand God have all of us together fro do his work

3. We have 6 of our kids from the city do their first mission trip to the villages and spend time with the kids in the villages for 2 weeks

4. We receive the visit of our friend Enrico & Norine, sponsors from years

5. An unbeliever miracle, a music team who come to do concerts in churches introduce his trumpets who will donate us a CT scanner.

6. We had our New Year service on 31^st finish on January 1^st. and all the church come to say thanks and here we are God for your work.

7. God bless us with a brand new band 12 passengers (we receive the donation for the entry and we will pay 2 years payment)

I know is a lot of share but we really like you know something about what is going on with us in this perfect December, but:

2010

-       We are praying for the next year we really can grow more, this year was a year where we can consolidate the work but we need to expand this vision with kids in all the cardinals point of Guatemala and we will go to open another 3 villages in the west of the country, we need resources for make this happen, sponsor for this villages, transportation, teams who come to be part of this new adventure.

-       We have the opportunity to have a full time missionary from USA to take care of the English class and vegetables program, her name is Riechelle Buchannan, some of you already knows her and she is just looking now for sponsors and be part of our crew and we are praying she can do it, that will be great if she can help us, if you know her and think can be part of this dream please contact her or let us know.

-       We are praying for can buy our 15 passengers 8 cylinder Van.

-       We are praying for more team can come and joint with us in construction, health care, dentistry, English teaching, Evangelism, Education, training, etc. if you think you can help us you are welcome to come, we need all of you, this year really looks great, We need to build clinics, purification water, build composting toilets, do gardening for vegetables, build churches and Pastors homes in the villages, all kinds of clinics (eyes, health, dentist, pregnancy, etc.)

-       Remember you can sponsor one of our kid for US$ 30.00 per month and we need a lot of new sponsor, we have 1,850 kids.

-       The needs are to many to we really feel shame keep going, but you can be part of our ministry in Guatemala, God is letting us touch two generation who they will be the ones to make the permanent change in our country.

-       Finally we are dreaming in improve a program for send some of our kids to USA for learn English and have the experience to live in a develop country, and God let us to talk with Mark    he is the director of Kaplan School who works in this kind of programs and we are praying for see if we can work true them, they helped us with one of our kids who already went to this program, we will need homes available for receive our kids. I'm copy the letter from Mark about our kid.

A Great Experience

My name is Mark Horner and I work as the International Student Advisor at Kaplan Aspect English programs in Seattle, Washington. Earlier this year, we were fortunate to have a student from Guatemala (Charlie Morales) come to study English here at our school. During his studies, Charlie made friends from all over the world. In his class were students from Korea, Kazakhstan, Japan, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and many others. When Charlie first came here, he struggled to communicate in English. I remember he would always try talking to me in Spanish, since I had learned Spanish when studying in San Andres, Guatemala several years ago. After one week here in Seattle, Charlie was already making English sentences and speaking more confidently. By the time he finished his studies Charlie was making jokes and could speak confidently in English. Now, he is taking high school classes in Seattle and can understand everything!

One of the most exciting things about studying in another country is the opportunity to see different points of view and ways of doing things. I truly believe that after his experience here in Seattle, Charlie will be able to go back to Guatemala with a much greater understanding of the world and possibly with new ideas and dreams about how he can change it for the better. We wish him the best of luck in his future!

We are really looking forward the potential of working together with the Centro Cristiano Cultural de Guatemala in the future to bring more students here to Seattle!
