Jul. 11, 2017 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
We will meet at the southwest corner of West Marine’s parking lot. This is the evening we hang the no parking signs and place the cones on Commercial Avenue so hopefully nobody gets towed on Saturday morning. We need 6 people that can carry signs and zip ties. We place the No Parking cones down the middle of Commercial so the locals can run them over all week long. These jobs require little skill but applicants must be able to follow directions from a seasoned Shipwrecker. |

Jul. 14, 2017 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This night is full of chaos and fun. Leadership skills are challenged and the ability to work well with others needs to be your mantra! We meet at 5:30 at West Marine parking lot and hopefully get done by 7:30. We have to layout and number the booth spaces and locations. I am working with the Arts group to hopefully have new measurement nails in the road and sidewalks. We are also looking into adhesive booth numbers that can be applied on the curb or streets to make sure rain can’t ruin our day. Applicants need to be able to work well with others, take directions from Val and Dave, be willing to make new friends and possibly enjoy a frosty beverage back at the West Marine parking lot when we finish. |

Jul. 15, 2017 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Shipwreck is one of the largest Flea Market Festivals in Washington State! With over 200 vendors, this event started over thirty-six years ago when commercial fisherman sold their used gear as yard art on Commercial Ave. Since then, Shipwreck has grown into a massive flea market festival from garage sale vendors to local artists, to repurposed and antique vendors. Come see what you might find at this years' Shipwreck Fest! Sponsored by Us — The FUN Club. |

Dragonfly Whisperer
Oct. 24, 2017
Retired physics Professor James S. Walker is credited with the discovery of the Splash-Dunk/Spin-Dry behavior in the Paddle-tailed Darner. The field guide includes range maps, flight season charts, and field identification marks on photos. The life-size photographs make this guide book unique. “People have been intrigued by dragonflies and damselflies for ages. Their beauty and agile flight catch our attention and beckon us to their world. It’s a journey well worth taking.”—James S. Walker
