Annual Raffle Helps Keep Club Expenses Low
It’s raffle ticket time! $10 tickets for a chance to win $1500 or one of five $200 prizes. Remember, raffle sales support our club expenses and activities throughout the year so that we can keep our dues low.
Peter Brown will be at Friday's meeting to hand out ticket envelopes, give out additional tickets and collect sold tickets and money. Reach out to Karin Brown, kbrown@be.wednet.edu if you need more tickets or have any questions

Work Party Volunteers Needed For April 15th!
Each year our Club auctions off work parties at our auction (and we get a lot of $$ for them!). Now, it's time to earn the money that has already been collected.
Our first work party of the year is Saturday, April 15th at Clay Learned's house, 27931 West Gilligan Creek Road, Sedro Woolley. We could really use more volunteers to ensure that we get the work done (we are struggling to even get 10 volunteers). We typically start at 9 and work until about noon. Work usually consists of tasks such as gardening, wood stacking, power washing, etc. Some of the hosts prepare lunch and you can leave after lunch or stay take care of any remaining tasks. Children old enough to help, friends, and spouses, and other family members are welcome to attend! If you can help or have questions, please contact Steve Gates at stevefhs71@outlook.com. Steve will provide information and reminders at our Club meetings.
Join Us At An Earth Day Event For All Ages
This year’s international Earth Day theme is ‘Invest In Our Planet’ and our Club’s Environmental Committee can help you make the investment locally when you join us on Earth Day, Saturday April 22nd.
Our club is partnering with the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Task Force to restore the Skagit Land Trust's Utopia Conservation Area on Wiseman Creek east of Sedro Woolley. This is a family-friendly event open to anyone who can walk down a slightly uneven and possibly muddy trail to the planting site and plant native plants or help remove invasive species. We will work in the morning, then enjoy different activities for all ages to celebrate nature including:
- Lunch courtesy of Jersey Mike’s Subs and LaFeen’s doughnuts
- Investigation Stations to learn about important parts of the ecosystem
- Raffle (Free entry to all participants)
The Earth Day event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd. Dress to get dirty and get outside this Earth Day!
