Skagit County Search and Rescue

Deputy Rich Eichman, from the Skagit County Search and Rescue (SAR) team, joins us this Friday. The SAR team assists in the location and rescue of missing and lost individuals who may be injured or in dangerous conditions and are unable to rescue themselves. The team does rescues and searches Puget Sound to the backcountry of the North Cascades.

District Conference Begins Friday!

You have waited as long as you possibly can. Check your calendar one last time and see if you can join other Club members at the Rotary District 50/50 Conference this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 5, 6, 7.

The conference is at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in beautiful downtown Surrey, BC. and begins at 3 p.m. Friday endig at 11 a.m. Sunday.

There is a group of our club members going who would love to have you join them. Never been before? Perfect! Come to Surrey and find out the what and why of a Rotary Conference. You can sit with people from our club and have the opportunity to meet Rotarians from around the region. Speakers include scientist and activist Dr. David Suzuki, and Al Jublitz, co-founder of the Rotary Peace Action Group. For a complete list of speakers click here.

Our club will reimburse you for the conference fees, and you have the option of attending the entire conference or just one day. If you spend the night, you are responsible for your room fees and for making your hotel reservations.
