Burlington-Edison High School’s Interact Club has a new tone to their meetings thanks to the donation of a Rotary Bell presented to the Club by members of the Rotary Club of Burlington on February 2nd.

The new brass bell is inscribed with “Rotary Club of Burlington in appreciation presents this bell to Burlington-Edison High School Interact Club. Paul Pihl Founding Advisor”.
High school teacher Paul Pihl is the current – and only – advisor the Interact Club has ever had. The bell is very similar to the bell used at the Rotary Club’s meetings and will be used to call the meetings to order.

The Interact Club is sponsored and was chartered May 20, 2010 by the Rotary Club of Burlington. The Interact Club is an opportunity for high school students to learn about Rotary while developing leadership skills and learning the importance of community service through a variety of volunteer activities.

Rotary Club members Will Potts, Don & Michelle Power, Steve Gates, Suzanne Radenkovic, and Stephanie & Darrell Hooper presented the bell to the Burlington Interact Club. Will Potts is the Rotary Club’s representative to the Interact Club.
