Valerie Stafford, MS, is the Director of Communication and Development at United General Hospital, responsible for Marketing, Community Education, Foundation and Auxiliary. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Skagit Valley College, having taught health and wellness classes for the college since 1991. Valerie is a certified fitness instructor who teaches group exercise classes at her studio in the Concrete Theatre.
She was named the 2011 Business and Professional Woman of the Year, by SWAN (Skagit Women's Alliance and Network).
Valerie earned her BA at Western Washington University in Bellingham and her Master of Science degree from Capella University in Minnesota.
Val has a special interest in helping people of all ages and abilities reach their full potential through exercise, nutrition, stress management and mindful activities.
