Fleet Street - Angel City Jazz Festival

Fleet Street has accepted an invitation to do bike valet for the Angel City Jazz Festival, an annual week long event celebrating various forms of jazz in various venues in Los Angeles, including LACMA.  We will be working the culminating event at Barnsdale Park in Hollywood on Sunday, Sept 28, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  There will be four free bands playing outside in the park and four bands playing inside in the 300 seat auditorium, for which tickets are required.

In exchange, we will be given a limited number of free tickets to the Barnsdale Park event, complimentary tickets for food at Barnsdale Park for our volunteers, AND we can also ask for free tickets to the other venues if they are not sold out.  

Free tickets to Barnsdale Park or other venues will be given first to regular Fleet Street volunteers, then to Rotarians/family/friends who volunteer for the bike valet (our logo is featured on the event homepage). That is, work the valet for a few hours and then go listen to music and eat for a few hours. We have also been offered the opportunity to set up a Fleet Street/Rotary information table at the event, which would be nice to be staffed with two or three volunteers, who would also get free tickets. Free tickets after that will be on a first come-as available basis.

For those unfamiliar, Barnsdale Park is in Hollywood near Vermont and Hollywood Blvd. It is the home to the LA Municipal Art Gallery as well as the Hollyhock House, one of the few homes in Los Angeles designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and recently restored at a cost in the millions of dollars.
