As you probably know, the term “Fireside Chat” came into being in the 1930’s and 1940’s as President Franklin Roosevelt delivered 30 Fireside Chats as radio addresses to the nation between 1933 and 1944. While those popular broadcasts dealt with the depression of the 30’s and World War II in the 40’s, the purposes of Rotary Fireside Chats are to offer warm social opportunities for Rotary members and to share the work of Rotary and the experiences of Rotary members. We will hold our club's first Fireside Chat in several years on Thursday, March 28 at our home at 340 Fir Street on the Bluffs in Mammoth Lakes. We will supply the main course and ask members/guests to bring appetizers, salads or deserts as well as your individual beverage choice. Please sign up including your guest's name and the dish you will bring.
