Paul is a born American from Hollywood, California who graduated from the University of Washington in 1958 and who spent close to the next 40 years living outside of the United States. Paul initially lived in Iran, as a United States Army Green Beret Advisor to the Imperial Iranian Army, and then in Lebanon as a Contract Negotiator for American corporations doing business in the oil producing countries of the area.

 

Bi-lingual in both Arabic and Farsi, Wineman is currently headquartered in Marina Del Rey, California. In addition to contract negotiations Wineman conducts customized workshops on "Negotiating and Influencing" skills for leading American Industrial and Service corporations including Anheuser-Busch, Bechtel, Housing developers such as Pulte and K. Hovnanian, Poultry producers such as Tyson Foods and Mountaire Farms, many of who export into the international marketplace.

In the course of living in The Middle East Wineman has been in two airplane crashes, has been hijacked on a commercial flight out of Beirut, and in 1975 was held a hostage of The Palestine liberation Organization. All this is in addition to his jumping for 2 ½ years with members of the Iranian Airborne and Special Forces Unit as the only American Army officer attached to their military mission.

In addition to being a graduate of the University of Washington Wineman holds a Masters Degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
