ImageFormer District Governor Bob Tomko conducted the induction of new member Monica Allen Tuesday, October 16, 2012, along with Sponsor Randy Van Tassell, and Club President, Mike Gable.  Monica has lived in Bishop for the past 10 years with her husband, James and 7 children.  Monica is the Executive Director for Mule Days and uses her skills of organizing and management to working full time, taking care of her children and household plus being on the Bishop Little League Board.  She was born in Fullerton, CA, raised in Yucaipa, CA and attended the University of Redlands.  Being a former Rotarian, Monica believes in the motto “Service Above Self” and wants to continue her service to the community contributing her time and energy to Rotarian Youth programs.   President Mike said the club is privileged to have Monica as a member and is pleased to have her start on the Club’s many programs helping our community.

 

Belonging to The Rotary Club of Bishop offers a number of benefits including effecting change within the community and gaining an understanding of – and having an impact on – international humanitarian issues.  The Rotary Club of Bishop meets every Tuesday at noon with the exception of the second Tuesday of every month, meeting at 5:30 pm at The Whiskey Creek Restaurant.  Visitors are welcome and the cost is $15.00 for lunch or dinner.
